We have seven churches: those of the monastery, the lower church in honor of the Enlightener Nicholas the Wonderworker (consec. Dec. 10, 1999), and the upper church in honor of our patroness the Holy New Martyr Grand Duchess Elizabeth (consec. Jan. 12, 2005), the chapel in honor of the Blessed St. Xenia of St. Petersburg in the boarding home for adults no. 3, (consecrated Feb 6, 1998), the church in honor of the Resurrection of the Righteous Lazarus in the Northern Cemetery of Minsk (consecrated May 10, 2005) and also unconsecrated churches in which mosaic and mural works are being executed – the church in honor of the icon of the Mother of God “Derzhavnaya” (“Reigning”) with a lower baptismal chapel in honor of the Royal Martyrs (located next to the convent) and the church in honor of the icon of the Mother of God “Unquenchable Cup” (located in the monastery farmstead in the village of Bald Mountain of Minsk region. )
On weekdays divine services are conducted at St. Nicholas church and on Sundays and holidays in St. Elizabeth church. Precious holy items are to be found in the churches – icons with particles of relics of holy God-pleasers: in the lower church – Saint Nicholas, Venerable Seraphim of Sarov, Venerable Evrosinia of Polotsk, Martyr Gabriel of Belostok, in the upper church, Saints Elizabeth and Barbara, Great Martyr St. George the Victory Bearer, Great Martyr Catherine, Saint Tikhon Zadonsk, Saint Luke of Krym, Venerable Elders of Optina, Venerable Job of Pochaev, Venerable Savva of Storozhev, Saints Aleksandra, Martha and Helen of Diveevo, Hieromartyr Vladimir of Kiev, Confessor John the Warrior, Venerable Silouan of Athos, Blessed Matrona of Moscow.
Next to the monastery is a wonderful church in honor of the icon of the Mother of God “Derzhavnaya” (“Reigning”). The church was built for a parish where all festal services were to be conducted as well as the Mystery of Marriage. The lower church is intended for the Mystery of Baptism: in the middle of the church is a large baptismal font (a large font for the baptism of adults), decorated with stone carvings and mosaics. The upper church impresses all with its beauty of murals and mosaics in the Byzantine style, and the lower church is reminiscent of ancient early Christian temples.
In the church dedicated to the Resurrection of Righteous Saint Lazarus in the Northern Cemetery, a funeral service is served on Saturdays and on Sunday, the Divine Liturgy, following which a funeral service is served. The snow white church hides the view from the road to the crematory, looks like a witness of victory over death and reminds us that with God, all are living. In the future, all the walls of the church will be decorated with frescoes. At present, the end of the church is decorated with a fresco depicting the Resurrection of Christ.
The church dedicated to the icon of the Mother of God “Unquenchable Cup” in the convent’s farmstead is not yet functioning because at present internal works are being conducted. For now the Divine Liturgy is celebrated every week in the dormitory chapel, built in the home in which the sisters carrying out their obedience at the farmstead live.
At the psycho-neurological boarding house, located not far from the convent, there is also a home chapel – in the honor of Blessed Saint Xenia of St. Petersburg. On Fridays the Divine Liturgy is served and on the preceding evening a prayer service with akathist to the Saint Mother Xenia.
