In monastic life, one devotes every action to God, living constantly before the Face of God.
Morning begins with a prayer. At 5:45 gather for the midnight service – the service which symbolizes the anticipation of the Heavenly Bridegroom. At this service, the troparion is sung with supplication “Behold, the Bridegroom comes at midnight”. Afterwards, the Divine Liturgy is served. Following the divine services, the sisters go to their obediences in order to carry the light of Divine Love, warmth of their hearts and hands where it is needed. One can say that the entire day of a monastic is the continuation of the divine service – serving God. Wherever a sister labors, in the workshop, dining hall, bakery, hospital, she tries to carry her obedience with prayer and humble effort. At 14:00 the sisters gather at the communal dining hall. During the meal they not only consume with love and prayer the prepared food, but also a fed spiritually, listening to readings from the lives and labors of the holy fathers. Following the evening divine service with the singing of troparia the sisters make a procession with the Cross around the territory of the convent, asking for God’s protection and blessing. Following the procession with the Cross, they ask forgiveness of one another in order to end the day in peace of soul.
