Stone workshop

Your home may be beautified by masterful items made from minerals and semi-precious stones. Using the bright, rich colors of malachite, turquoise, amethyst, mica, chrysoprase, various shades of jasper and agate, artists create exquisite icons, copies of paintings by famous artists, portraits and landscapes. Works are executed on a marble base using special glue. Works from the stone workshop make a wonderful gift.

Ceramics workshop

The first items created in the workshop were Pascha eggs symbolizing the beginning of life. By the hands of the sisters, many new items are now made including open-worked candlesticks, icon lamps, vessels for holy water painted with colorful glazes, engobe, luster and gold.

At the present time, the studio makes candle stands, icon lamps, censers, vessels for communion bread, flame-extinguishers, vessels for holy water and oil. Other items include hand-painted and decorated cups, pots, souvenirs made of clay, china, porcelain and faience. Any ceramic item may be made in the workshop according to the specifications of your order. Masters can make, for example, a vessel for holy water or a cup containing an image of your church. Items made with love and piety are marked by unmatched artistic expressiveness.

Candle works studio

In a church, light is symbolic. For instance, the church chandelier signifies the arch of Heaven; lights on the chandelier signify the choir of saints; an icon lamp before the icon of a saint signifies his burning, prayerful light before God. A candle symbolizes our sacrifice and our prayerful presence before God.

The workshop makes simple cone-shaped candles in any size and varying in wax content. Episcopal, altar, wedding and festal candles, made at our monastery by hand from wax of high quality, are distinguished by a variety of shapes and original finish.
